Blackstone Technology Group wins 5 year prime contract award for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS)

Arlington, VA – July 3, 2013 – Blackstone Technology Group, a global IT services and solutions firm, announced today that its Federal Practice has been selected for the USDA AMS Country Of Origin Labeling (COOL) Functional Analysis for Compliance and Trends System (FACTS) Application Operations and Maintenance award. The COOL Program provides services in support of providing consumers information regarding the source of certain foods. AMS uses the COOL FACTS application to administrator the COOL Program and communicate with its 50 state cooperating agencies and approximately 400 users.

Blackstone will provide operations, maintenance and enhancements for the COOL FACTS application. Using Blackstone’s innovative approach to enterprise Dynamics CRM and deep experience in Agile development methodologies, Blackstone will rapidly develop and deploy new functionality for the application, while providing ongoing support to AMS in understanding and solving more complex system issues.

The COOL FACTS award builds upon Blackstone’s service at USDA, where the company currently serves the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) on several programs.
